About the concert
ABOV is a FLINTA* collective led by Dominga (aka Föllakzoid) and DJ Volvox. Reflecting their longstanding international presence in the industry they bring with their expert talent curation a mix of the most legendary heavyweight characters of the international scene with the hottest upcoming talents and essential cultural movers. The techno-first program is here to create a space where the finest electronic music meets a unified FLINTA* crowd with an updated software creating new gender bending sounds and experiences.
ABOV is a safe space created by FLINTA* for FLINTA*, for all the beauties that have ever been harassed, discriminated against or worse just for being themselves.
FLINTA* is an umbrella term representing female, lesbian, inter*, non-binary/enby, trans*, and agender people.
DOOR POLICY: Entrance is exclusive to FLINTA* persons only, if you feel represented by this term you are welcome. Being denied entry only means "not tonight"
Detroit-born and globally revered, Erika is a foundational force in the U.S. scene whose sound carries the city’s machine soul into distinctly personal, future-facing territory. As one half of Ectomorph alongside BMG, and through her influential Interdimensional Transmissions label and event platform, she has helped shape a fiercely independent underground spanning Detroit and beyond. Her DJ sets are precise, propulsive, and deeply atmospheric—moving through electro, techno, and abstract machine funk with an instinct for tension, texture, and physical release. Across decades of releases, performances and uncompromising community-building, Erika has expanded the vocabulary of American electronic music while creating lasting space for adventurous, boundary-defying artists and dancers.
Dominga of the cult band Föllakzoid, South American born, fashion model, filmmaker and all together globally renowned trans and countercultural icon, brings an otherworldly sense of techno metrics and encyclopedic music knowledge layering that reveals and transforms the deepest gems from the elements of our collective unconscious into concrete unforgettable core sound imprints. Her transportive music continues after 20 years to intrigue and captivate audiences around the world with its deep pulsating aliveness.
Brazilian-american world-renowned DJ Volvox has become synonymous with surgical mixing technique and a certain square-shooting, take-no-prisoner approach towards dance floor business. A global figure of over a decade, her impeccable music selection has made her a regular fixture of the best events on the planet.
Jamaican-born, New York–based DJ, producer, and multidisciplinary artist SHYBOI is a vital presence in the city’s queer underground, using sonic disruption to trace the connections between Caribbean identity, power, migration, and club culture. A member of the queer artist collective #KUNQ and long associated with Discwoman, she fuses dancehall and soca rhythms with techno, acid, Baltimore club, and hard-edged bass pressure, delivering sets that are as politically charged as they are physically exhilarating. Her original productions include the acclaimed debut EP Rave Down Babylon and appearances on compilations from Allergy Season, E-Missions, and Nervous Records; she has also brought her singular sound to platforms and institutions including MoMA PS1 and the Guggenheim, and festivals such as Atonal, Unsound, and Nyege Nyege.
Johanna Constantine began DJing in NYC in the early 90’s. A visual chameleon and style icon, countless residencies and sets later she is still mutating. Co-founder the Blacklips Performance Cult and artistic partner to Anohni and the Johnsons, Johanna’s sets reach audiences from Fold London to LA’s Neotropolis festival, Dances of Vice and Synthicide. Expect darkness at the disco in our intimacy room!
ABOV WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY KIND OF HARASSMENT OR DISCRIMINATION ON OUR DANCE FLOOR
NO TRANSPHOBIA
NO RACISM
NO SEXISM
NO LESBOPHOBIA
NO ABLEISM
KEEP IT CUTIE!
