Starting as a teenage street performer in Toronto, he became the first Canadian violinist to bring the instrument into nightclubs and electronic culture. His explosive fusion of classical, rock, electronic, and world sounds has since taken him from local clubs to international festivals and major cultural events, including the World Expo in Shanghai, the Colombo Biennale, the Galle Literary Festival, and the opening of New York’s Westfield World Trade Center 9/11 Memorial. He has performed for brands like Louis Vuitton and Mercedes, appeared at Toronto International Film Festival events, and shared stages with artists such as John Legend, Mariah Carey, Drake, and Cyndi Lauper. With eight albums and collaborative projects like Tokka and Nemesis, Dr. Draw continues to push the boundaries of the electric violin, captivating audiences worldwide with his high-energy, genre-defying performances.
