November Folk Bundle

Fall into the love of Folk with three great shows at a reduced price! Instead of spending nearly $150 to attend all three shows, folk lovers can see these artists for only $100 plus taxes and fees. From November 19 to 27, enjoy the music of Valdy (Thursday November 19), Connie Kaldor (Sunday November 21) and Garnet Rogers (Friday November 27). Winner of two JUNO Awards, creator of 16 albums, 22 singles, four gold records, CARAS "Songwriter of the Year" and since 2012 Member of the Order of Canada, Valdy is one our country's truly great storytellers. He is of course a stalwart of music festivals across North America but we at Hugh's Room Live know he is just as wonderful a performer indoors too. Thursday November 19. Connie Kaldor, Canada’s legendary prairie folk musician, is celebrating 47 years in show business this year. The JUNO Award winning singer-songwriter is a perennial favourite on the folk music scene. Her beautiful original songs blur musical lines, embracing elements of gospel, country and western, and bluegrass. A popular solo performer, don’t miss Connie Kaldor on guitar and piano Saturday November 21. Born in Hamilton, Ontario to parents of Nova Scotian descent, Garnet Rogers spent many hours in front of the family’s old floor model radio listening to Grand Ol' Opry broadcasts and harmonizing with his brother, the late folk legend Stan Rogers. Two years later, Garnet was playing the definitive 8-year-old's version of Desolation Row on his ukulele. He soon abandoned that instrument to teach himself the flute, violin and guitar, and the rest is history. Friday November 27.
