About Artist:
Ciel is a Xi'an-born, Toronto-based producer, DJ, classically trained pianist and promoter. Her sound pairs the softer, dreamier edges of electronic music (lush ambient textures, intricate New Age melodies) with fierce rhythmic foundations. Robust basslines and the skip of UK bass, speed garage, broken-beat techno and jungle breaks drive it forward, and the result feels both nostalgic and forward-facing. She has released on Peach Discs, Spectral Sound and !K7, and runs her own Toronto label, Parallel Minds. Her 2023 debut album Homesick includes "Bamboo," which won Underground Dance Single of the Year at the 2025 Juno Awards. She also co-leads Loopchasers, a high-speed studio project with Montreal producer Priori. A longtime part of the MUTEK family, she went from her first live performance at MUTEK Montréal to touring audio-visual live sets across its global editions. She has also played Draaimolen, Dimensions and Movement Detroit, along with club dates at fabric, Robert Johnson, Smartbar and Berghain's Panorama Bar.
Olekhar (Alexander Harris) is a Kyiv-born, Toronto-based DJ and producer with over two decades in electronic music. Shaped by Kyiv's early-2000s club scene, vinyl culture and long-form sets, he blends '90s and 2000s deep house, electro and breakbeat with contemporary deep and tech house sensibilities, favouring groove-led, detail-driven selections and a timeless, trend-agnostic sound. In Kyiv he held residencies at Boom Boom Room, StyArtCafe, Mantra and The Lab, and played festivals including Kazantip and Ostrov. Since moving to Toronto in 2016, he has focused on intimate club and pop-up settings, with appearances at Reverie, Rhythm and Cafeteria. He also runs Afalinas Records, a vinyl-focused imprint named after a rare dolphin native to the Black and Azov Seas. A track from its second release was picked up by Dan Ghenacia for a fabric London mix.
Hiroki is a dancer, DJ and producer from Toronto who draws inspiration from countless hours spent dancing and lurking in clubs. Hiroki’s selections include dub, minimal, and leftfield techno oddities with unconventional textures. Leaning into groove and just the right amount of psychedelia, Hiroki creates atmosphere that keeps the floor bouncing.
wabi is a Toronto-based arts and electronic music crew that has been a foundational pillar of the Canadian underground since 1999. Guided by their "aural.visual.spatial" philosophy, they turn unconventional local spaces into immersive sensory environments, pairing the hypnotic architectures of minimal techno, IDM and leftfield electronics with cutting-edge visual projection art. Anchored by resident DJs nitsuji, otaku, ozawa and taskone, the crew recently marked their 25th anniversary with a showcase and retrospective archive exhibition at Standard Time on Geary Avenue. They also launched their own wabi record label, debuting with Adam Marshall's Sordino EP. Over the years they have brought international icons to the region in rogue spaces and staged an all-night ambient takeover for MULTIfest and Nuit Blanche at Stackt Market.
