BESTIAL MOUTHS — Since their inception in 2009, Berlin via NYC & LA outfit Bestial Mouths have been creating some of the most powerful darkwave in the musical underground. Now guided primarily by frontwoman and co-founder Lynette Cerezo, whose vocals range from operatic, extended-technique furies to shouted monologues, the band are a medium for pure, intense emotion. Bestial's latest incarnation continues to channel new and experimental paths through the project's original gothic post-punk roots. Led by Cerezo's visceral, emotional voice and lyrics, and featuring beautifully brutal production from Brant Showers (AAIMON/SØLVE), Alex DeGroot (Zola Jesus) and Balázs Képli (nullius in verba) and a live incarnation with David Foster (HUREN/TESTE) and Raf Abr (FUROR) the music of Bestial Mouths is the journey of a soul shattered—then stapled back together by female rage and self-determination. BLOOD RAVE — Blood Rave is a Darkwave / EBM project by Bay Area based music creator James Rogers. Known previously for his part in previous projects such as Creative Adult, and Fearing, James explores a new territory with Blood Rave, leaning further into their goth and techno music influences. Their first album “Determinate Bias” was self-released in February 2024, and showcases a collection of dark synth melodies, combined with driving drum and bass rhythms, and layers of harsh noise and heavily saturated effects throughout the release. CARESS — Caress is the Los Angeles–based electronic project of Tara Jane, whose seductive, nocturnal sound draws from 80s darkwave, post-punk, and synth-pop in a sleek blend of hypnotic drum machines, pulsing basslines, and glassy synth loops, paired with detached, haunting vocals that drift through the shadows, creating a cold, sensual atmosphere shaped by pain, lust, obsession, and desire.
