Celebrate the release of Ah Dek’s newest EP “RHYTHM POLEMICS” at Mood Ring’s happy hour with his friends and purveyors of heavy hitters Ovid and Janus Rose!
Ah Dek is a Brooklyn-based live performer and DJ who combines deep textures and heavy percussion with a diaspora-based approach to digging and mixing. His background as a live hardware performer for the better part of two decades informs his sets which feature long blends, propulsive rhythms, and left-field sounds.

Ovid’s signature syncopated percussive work has been released through labels like Flood, Nostro Hood System, and Loosee, and his DJ sets harmoniously meld all forms of drum-forward music, from UK Funky and baile to bass and breakbeats.

Janus Rose is a Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, and synthesist whose musical practice ranges from modular synth and live hardware performance to DJ sets featuring club-forward, futuristic sounds. As a veteran of NYC’s electronic music underground, she is the host of @softreset.nyc, a local party for experimental bass and club music.

They will be playing bass, gqom, hard drum, and everything in between - come get things started with one of the deeper lineups you’ll see this night.
