About Adriatique

Adriatique is the Swiss electronic music duo of Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer, two men who share not only a first name but an extraordinary creative bond. Both based in Zürich, they met in 2008 on the local DJ circuit and formed Adriatique in 2009, combining one partner's influences from hip-hop, 90s dance, and house music with the other's deep melodies and European techno sensibility to produce a sound that is both expansive and distinctly their own. Their early releases on Diynamic Music and Afterlife propelled them onto the international stage, and their debut album Nude (2018) was a sweeping 13-track journey spanning ambient, trance-tinged, and tech-house territories. In 2016 they founded Siamese, their own label and arts platform, and in 2022 launched their immersive global event series X, which has since taken them to Zürich, Tel Aviv, Ibiza, Beirut, New York, São Paulo, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, and the literal Pyramids of Giza. Recent releases include the Afro house-tinged Maybe with Coach Harrison and Tim Engelhardt and the groovy Love's a Game with Bipolar Sunshine, while their remixes for RÜFÜS DU SOL and Swedish House Mafia with The Weeknd have introduced them to an ever-wider global audience. Three-time winners of the Swiss Nightlife Award and BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix alumni, Adriatique are the perfect artists to close out the year and usher in what comes next.
