West 22nd is an indie rock band from Austin, Texas, formed in 2022 by friends who met at the University of Texas. They call their style ”carousel rock”, driving guitar rock with introspective, autobiographical lyrics. The breakout single ”Sunburns” was followed by the debut album ”Nowhere to Be” (2025), and the band has played the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Their reputation was built on high-energy shows.
