Weezer
rockalternative rock
Weezer is an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1992, led by singer and guitarist Rivers Cuomo. Their sound mixes power-pop hooks, crunchy guitars and earnest, often geeky lyrics that helped define 1990s alt-rock. The 1994 debut album Weezer and 1996's Pinkerton became touchstones, yielding hits including Buddy Holly and Say It Ain't So. Arena shows lean on singalong choruses drawn from a catalog spanning three decades.
