The Wailers
reggae
The Wailers are a Jamaican reggae band formed in 1981 by surviving members of Bob Marley and the Wailers. They keep the roots reggae catalogue alive, drawing on Bob Marley material such as "Positive Vibration" from "Rastaman Vibration" (1976). Bassist Aston "Familyman" Barrett led the band until 2016, when his son Aston Barrett Jr. took over; "Evolution" (2024) earned a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album.
