The Suitcase Junket

rockalternative rock

The Suitcase Junket is the project of Vermont-raised songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Matt Lorenz. His dark folk draws on early blues, rock 'n' roll and the improvisational spirit of jazz, played partly on instruments he builds from scavenged electronics, bikes and appliances. His 2026 album "To Go On" was made after the death of his sister, singer-songwriter Kate Lorenz, his partner in the band Rusty Belle.
