The Prodigy are an English electronic band formed in Braintree in 1990 by producer Liam Howlett with Keith Flint and Leeroy Thornhill. Their sound fuses big beat, breakbeat, and hardcore rave with punk energy on hits like "Firestarter" and "Breathe." "The Fat of the Land" (1997) brought rave to mainstream pop. Live shows blend festival rave energy with arena-scale staging.
