The Obsessed
metal
The Obsessed is an American doom metal band from Maryland led by guitarist and vocalist Scott "Wino" Weinrich, formed in 1979. Their gritty heavy rock bridged punk and metal on early Baltimore and D.C. scenes, earning respect from peers including Black Flag and Bad Brains. Albums include "Lunar Womb" (1991), "The Church Within" (1994), and "Gilded Sorrow" (2024). Live, their raw, slow-burning sets helped pioneer American doom metal.
