The Meditations
reggae
The Meditations are a Jamaican roots reggae vocal harmony group formed in 1974. Their spiritually conscious songs helped shape roots rock reggae, including the hit "Woman Is Like a Shadow" and albums such as "Message from the Meditations." They performed at the 1978 One Love Peace Concert at Bob Marley's request and sang backing vocals on several of his recordings. Live, the current lineup led by Ansel Cridland pairs classic harmonies with roots rock energy for international audiences.
