The Judds
country
The Judds were an American country music duo from Ashland, Kentucky, formed in 1983 by mother Naomi Judd and daughter Wynonna Judd. Their harmony-driven country paired Naomi's backing vocals with Wynonna's lead guitar and commanding voice. They charted 14 number-one singles between 1983 and 1991 and won five Grammy Awards for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group. Concerts centered on tight mother-daughter harmonies and Wynonna's soulful lead vocals.
