The Devil Makes Three is an Americana band from Santa Cruz, California, formed in 2001. Founders Pete Bernhard and Cooper McBean, childhood friends from Vermont who had played in punk bands, started it with bassist Lucia Turino. Their music blends Americana, folk, bluegrass, old time, country, blues, jazz, punk and ragtime.
