Swervedriver are an English alternative rock band formed in Oxford in 1989 around core members Adam Franklin and Jimmy Hartridge. Their shoegaze carries a heavier rock edge than most of their contemporaries. They released "Raise" (1991) and "Mezcal Head" (1993) on Creation Records, split up in 1998, reunited in 2008 and returned with the album "I Wasn't Born to Lose You" in 2015.
