Steel Pulse

reggae

Steel Pulse is a British roots reggae band from the Handsworth area of Birmingham, England, formed in 1975. David Hinds and Basil Gabbidon started the band after hearing Bob Marley and the Wailers' "Catch a Fire", and their early songs addressed the lives of British urban black youth. They were the first non-Jamaican act to win the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.
