Son Rompe Pera

Son Rompe Pera is a Mexican band from Naucalpan, near Mexico City, founded in 2017 by brothers Kacho and Mongo Gama. Their cumbia is played on marimba and mixed with danzón, rock and ska, drawing on Andrés Landero as well as The Clash. The band released "Batuco" in 2020 and "Chimborazo" in 2023, and has played an NPR Tiny Desk session, the main stage at Vive Latino and Coachella.
