Shades

Shades is the bass-music duo of Alix Perez and Eprom, uniting UK drum-and-bass roots with experimental bass production. Their music favors slanted grooves, a deep pocket, and hard yet graceful tracks drawing on footwork, rave, and hip-hop. They formed in 2015 and debuted with the self-titled "Shades" EP on Alpha Pup, later releasing "In Praise of Darkness" (2018). Live shows deliver the polished, speaker-shaking bass attack their records are known for.
