Pokey LaFarge

Pokey LaFarge is an American singer-songwriter from St. Louis who draws on blues, folk, country swing, and early jazz. His songs blend Americana, ragtime, and Appalachian folk with vintage string-band textures. Albums include Riverboat Soul (2010) and Rhumba Country (2024); he won Independent Music Awards for Best Americana Album in 2011 and 2012. His shows channel pre-war dance-hall and busker energy, often with clarinet, trumpet, and washboard.
