NRBQ

NRBQ is an American rock band from Louisville, Kentucky, founded circa 1965 as the New Rhythm and Blues Quintet. Their sound mixes barrelhouse R&B, British Invasion pop, rockabilly, jazz, and Tin Pan Alley with stomp-down rhythms and unpretentious joy. A self-titled Columbia debut arrived in 1969, with a classic 1974 to 1994 quartet led by pianist Terry Adams. Live sets are famously spontaneous, blending styles on the fly with easy good humor.
