Michael Feinstein

Michael Feinstein is an American singer, pianist, and archivist from Columbus, Ohio, and a leading interpreter of the Great American Songbook. He sings pre-rock standards with a clear baritone and scholarly care for the lyric. From 1977 to 1983 he was Ira Gershwin's archivist; "Pure Gershwin" (1987) began a five-time Grammy-nominated recording career. His concerts weave classic songs with stories from the composers he has preserved.
