Mean Habit is a queer, all gender non conforming post punk band from Carrboro, North Carolina. Their seething hardcore inspired sound pairs raw rage with poetic lyrics about transphobia, intimate partner abuse and the reclamation of sites of dehumanization. The band rallies in songs for autonomy, love and the annihilation of capitalism. Live they deliver palpable, confrontational energy in DIY punk rooms across the North Carolina Triangle.
