Mark Ernestus

Mark Ernestus is a German producer and DJ from Berlin, co-founder of the Basic Channel duo and of the Hard Wax record store. His work moves between dub and techno, and the minimalist, delay-heavy records he made with Moritz von Oswald helped define dub techno. He opened Hard Wax in 1989 and started Basic Channel in 1993, later founding the Chain Reaction, Main Street and Rhythm & Sound labels.
