Lee Emi

Lee Emi is the solo name of Michigan-raised singer-songwriter Emilee Petersmark, born in South Korea. Her indie-pop-rock songs lean into anger, grief, and self-doubt with sharp melodies and searching lyrics. Since 2010 she has been a primary songwriter and co-lead vocalist of Grand Rapids indie band The Crane Wives, including five studio albums through Beyond Beyond Beyond (2024). Her solo sets extend that raw, questioning songwriting to the stage.
