Lauren Flax is a Detroit-born, Brooklyn-based American DJ, producer and songwriter rooted in techno, house and electro. Her sets tie together the legacies of Detroit, Chicago and New York in rugged, acid-laced, jacking house built from pared-back grooves. She played the first Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000 and co-founded the electronic duo CREEP with Lauren Dillard. Live, she drives rooms through techno, electro, house and jungle with unrelenting clarity.
