Kristeen Young is an American singer-songwriter and pianist from St. Louis, Missouri, known for emotive, operatic vocals and percussive, dissonant piano. Her alternative rock songs carry a transgressive, aggressively emotional edge that sets her apart from piano-driven peers. She released her debut album "Meet Miss Young and Her All Boy Band" in 1997 and has recorded duets with David Bowie and Brian Molko of Placebo. Live sets lean into darkwave bills with her self-made, DIY stage presence.
