John & Dan

John & Dan is guitarist Dan Kaufman and drummer John Bollinger, who have played in the avant-rock band Barbez since 2001. Their duo pairs ecstatic guitar with vibraphone, bass and drums in apprehensive post-rock, as New York Music Daily describes it. Kaufman leads Barbez, which recorded for John Zorn's Tzadik label. Live, Bollinger rotates on drums, vibraphone and bass beside Kaufman's guitar.
