In Flames

In Flames is a Swedish metal band formed in Gothenburg in 1990 by Jesper Strömblad, one of the pioneers of melodic death metal. Twin melodic guitar lines meet growled vocals, and "Reroute to Remain" (2002) moved the band toward alternative metal. Albums such as "The Jester Race" (1996) and "Come Clarity" (2006) are landmarks of the Gothenburg sound, and the band has won seven Swedish Grammis awards.
