Iain Matthews is an English folk-rock singer and guitarist who was a founding vocalist in Fairport Convention from 1967 to 1969. His tenor voice shaped the band's early American folk-rock sound on albums alongside Sandy Denny. He later led Matthews Southern Comfort to a UK number one in 1970 with "Woodstock". With No Grey Faith he honors Denny's songwriting through intimate acoustic tribute performances.
