Hypnotic Brass Ensemble is a Chicago-born brass band made up of sons of jazz trumpeter Phil Cohran, formed in 1999 playing Chicago's subways. Their sound mixes hip hop, jazz, funk and rock. They have worked with Wu-Tang Clan, Prince, Erykah Badu and Gorillaz, and their song "War" appeared in "The Hunger Games". Albums include "Bulletproof Brass" (2011) and "Book of Sound" (2017).
