Hot Like Mars is a jam-funk quintet from Chicago, formed in late 2023. The band blends classic soul and R&B textures with jam-band improvisation, built around singer and keyboardist Anthony Perry. In 2025 they released a studio album along with "The Red Tapes", a fourteen-track live album. On stage they stretch songs into extended full-band improvisations.
