Horse Feathers is an American indie folk band from Portland, Oregon, founded in 2004 by singer-songwriter Justin Ringle. Their music pairs lush string arrangements with warm, vulnerable vocals, evolving from sparse acoustic beginnings into fuller folk-rock. Debut album "Words Are Dead" (2006) launched a catalog on Kill Rock Stars that includes "House With No Home" (2008) and "Appreciation" (2018). Live sets emphasize taut dynamics, restrained emotion, and careful attention to space and tone.
