Earth, Wind & Fire are an American band formed in Chicago in 1969 by Maurice White. Their sound fuses funk, soul and R&B with jazz, Latin and pop, built on layered horn arrangements. Signature hits include "September", "Let's Groove" and "Reasons", and the group entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. They received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2019 and their shows are known for elaborate staging and effects.
