Earl Sweatshirt is the stage name of Thebe Neruda Kgositsile, an American rapper and producer raised in Santa Monica, California. He raps in a low baritone over lo-fi, loop-based production, and his lyrics circle around family, his absent father, addiction and loss. He came up in the Odd Future collective, and his debut album "Doris" (2013) reached number 5 on the Billboard 200.
