Dari Bay is the indie rock project of Burlington, Vermont, musician Zachary James, which began as a home recording venture. The debut album "Longest Day of the Year" (2023) set unassuming songs against arrangements with pedal steel, Mellotron and banjo. On "Surprise Wish" (2026), released on Double Double Whammy, James turned to a scuzzy rock sound drawing on '90s alt-rock and grunge.
