Craig Finn is an American singer-songwriter from Minneapolis, best known as frontman of The Hold Steady. His songs pair dense narrative lyrics about faith, partying, and redemption with anthemic indie rock. After leading Lifter Puller, he formed The Hold Steady in 2003; his sixth solo album, "Always Been" (2025), was produced by Adam Granduciel. Solo concerts feature The Band of Forgiveness, a Minneapolis backing group he debuted in 2025.
