Cowboy Junkies
rockalternative rock
Cowboy Junkies are a Canadian alternative country and folk rock band formed in Toronto in 1985. Margo Timmins's hushed vocals and sparse arrangements blend blues, country, folk, and rock into a slow, atmospheric sound. Their 1988 album "The Trinity Session," recorded in one night at Toronto's Church of the Holy Trinity, brought a platinum breakthrough with "Sweet Jane" and "Misguided Angel." Live, they favor intimate, seated shows built around decades of catalog depth.
