Chee Shimizu

Chee Shimizu is a Tokyo-based DJ, writer, and music selector who runs the record shop Organic Music. Since the 1990s he has championed obscure ambient, avant-garde, and Japanese contemporary music through deep-listening DJ sets. He founded Organic Music in 2008 and published the disc guide "Obscure Sound" in 2013. International club sets draw on rare records and patient, crate-digger curation.
