Casual is an Oakland rapper and founding member of the Hieroglyphics hip-hop collective. His battle rhymes use multisyllabic East Coast flows with a distinctive Oakland accent. His 1994 debut "Fear Itself" on Jive Records ranks among Hieroglyphics' highest-charting albums. Live he delivers ferocious, playful verses as a longtime pillar of the crew.
