Brandi Carlile is an American singer-songwriter from Ravensdale, Washington, whose music spans Americana, folk rock and alternative country. Her songs pair a powerful voice with intimate storytelling. She has won multiple Grammy Awards, including for "By the Way, I Forgive You" and "In These Silent Days," and founded the Looking Out Foundation in 2008. Live shows are emotionally charged with communal singalongs.
