Bonnie Prince Billy

Bonnie "Prince" Billy is the main stage name of Louisville-born singer-songwriter Will Oldham, also known from Palace-era projects. His songs draw on country, folk, and indie rock with a spare, haunted delivery. Since adopting the moniker in 1998, albums such as "I See a Darkness" (1999) have drawn wide critical notice. Performances often foreground intimate, shifting lineups and reinterpretations of his catalog.
