Black Flag
rockpunk
Black Flag is a punk band from Hermosa Beach, California, founded in 1976 by guitarist Greg Ginn and widely considered one of the first hardcore punk bands. Ginn started SST Records to release the band's debut single. Their album "Damaged" (1981), with Henry Rollins on vocals, is regarded as their defining record, and "My War" (1984) influenced grunge and sludge metal. The band pioneered DIY touring across the American underground.
