Bikini Kill is an American punk band formed in Olympia, Washington, in 1990 by Kathleen Hanna, Tobi Vail and Kathi Wilcox. Its abrasive, hardcore-influenced sound and feminist lyrics helped launch the riot grrrl movement. Albums include "Revolution Girl Style Now" (1991) and "Pussy Whipped" (1993), with "Rebel Girl" its best known song. Their shows are known for urging women to the front of the stage.
