BC Coogan in New Orleans

BC Coogan is a New Orleans keyboardist and singer who plays piano, Hammond organ and synthesizer. His solo sets draw on the city's long piano tradition and golden-era South Louisiana R&B, mixing songs by Irma Thomas and James Booker with jazz and reworked pop tunes. A busy sideman, he has worked with Johnny Vidacovich, Bonerama, Stanton Moore's Trio and the Maelstrom Trio, and toured with Pretty Lights.
