Banda El Recodo is a Mexican banda from Sinaloa, founded in Mazatlán in 1938 by Cruz Lizárraga and known as "La Madre de Todas Las Bandas". The ensemble plays traditional Sinaloan brass band music built on clarinets, trumpets and trombones. It was the first Mexican brass band to tour internationally and to play the White House, in 2004, and has won ten Latin Grammy Awards.
