Art Garfunkel is an American singer and actor from New York City, born in 1941, best known as half of Simon & Garfunkel. His crystalline tenor shaped folk rock hits including "The Sound of Silence", "Bridge over Troubled Water", and "Mrs. Robinson". Solo work earned him chart hits and eight Grammy Awards; he and Paul Simon were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. Live concerts spotlight his pure vocal delivery across Simon & Garfunkel classics and solo repertoire.
