Anthony Hamilton
r&b
Anthony Hamilton is an American R&B and neo soul singer from Charlotte, North Carolina, born in 1971. His grainy tenor and church roots shape confessionals about love and struggle, heard on the Nappy Roots hit "Po' Folks" and his own "Charlene." The 2003 album "Comin' from Where I'm From" went platinum and earned Grammy nominations, and he won Best Traditional R&B Performance for "You've Got the Love I Need" with Al Green in 2009. Shows foreground live vocals and deep-soul pacing.
